| In addition to encryption, FileCrypt can also compress (ZIP) your files save disk space & bandwidth. This removes the need to seperately install or use any other file compression software package. Compression is enabled by default but can be turned off via the options screen if required. |

| FileCrypt employs industry standard GZIP compression, applied after the file is encrypted. Generally files increase in size by as much as 300% following encryption, by turning on compression the resulting files will be comparable in size to those produced by the leading commercial compression packages. |
